Sunnyside wants to say a heart felt goodbye to Dave Harink our current Facility Director. As of November 30, 2009 Dave will be resigned and finished his term as the Facility Director. Dave has been working at Sunnyside since the spring of 2006, and he has contributed so much over the last three years. He has been instrumental in the reconstruction and addition of the tabernacle as well as many other buildings here at Sunnyside. He has put countless hours into this facility and helped to redesign our vision and focus in order to function more successfully as a business. Dave has also been an excellent resource in building closer connections between the Retreat Centre and the cottage owners. His constant presence around here will be truly missed.
Although Dave is moving on to other projects and opportunities outside of Sunnyside’s realm, he has expressed much interest in a continued involvement in the facility. Dave will continue to be a part of the Sunnyside’s success as he transitions to a role on our board of directors, helping to oversee new building projects in the future and taking on various roles in our fundraising strategies. You can be sure that although Dave may not be the Facility Director he will still be very involved in the happenings of Sunnyside. Thanks again Dave for all that you do and have done to make Sunnyside a thriving establishment.
Following Dave’s resignation, the board has assigned Greg Kerik our current Office Manager to be placed in the role of the new Facility Director. Greg has been working here at Sunnyside alongside Dave for the last three years and is excited for the opportunity to step up in leadership. Greg truly has a heart to see Sunnyside succeed in every facet and knows the functions of this establishment inside and out. We look forward to seeing what this new chapter at Sunnyside will bring forth.
